My 117th Foundation Day Experience

Every year, we celebrate the foundation day of our Alma Mater, Ilocos Sur National High School. This is a way to give importance  to when our school was established and to how it turned out through the years.
The celebration is two days long. During the first day, the coronation day happened. From the nineth prince and princess to this year's king and queen, they were all awarded. As a CAT officer, I was one of the honor guards. It was tiring but it was a good experience just like every time we do so. Afterwhich, while the program was ongoing, we supervised our trainees and also helped in preventing the students to leave the gym.

During the second day, it was like the main day of the activities. In the morning, students had a parade around Vigan City. The king and queen rode a float while the princes and princesses rode kalesas. In the afternoon, the arrival of honor happened. Again, since I was one of the CAT officers who diligently attended trainings, I was part of it. That was a very amazing experience and I was very proud of my fellow officers and myself. After that, a lot of awards were given. Also, the guest speaker said his words. Then the highlight of the second day started which was the field demonstration. In the end, the grade 8 girls and boys were held champions.

To be honest, a lot could be done to improve our foundation day. I suggest the said event should have more activities and booths. Also, they should make the celebration longer than 2 days. Decorations around the school or buildings could also add to the excitement and happiness of students..

All in all, even if something doesn't meet your expectations, you should still find a way to be happy and for you to enjoy the event and make it memorable.
