Equality Could Change the World

Inequality is not a new topic to everyone. We all know that inequality itself creates more problems through time like discrimination and being underestimated. But does it have to work like this?

Apperance, gender, status in life, position and everything alike are causes of inequality and different problems we are facing until this day. We know well that we are unique and imperfect but we are all the same when it comes to Him because we were all made in His image and likeness. Even on legal matters, we may be different in race, nationality, age and so on but we all are the same when it comes to our rights as individuals.

Through the years, through history, we have known and learned that men and women never had equal and fair standings in the community. Men were looked up to as providers and leaders because they were the ones who were considered to be superior. While women on the other hand, stayed indoors or inside the house because they believed that women were just supposed to manage the home and their family.

But in our time, this already changed somehow. Why? Because people were awakened by the reality that women can do what men can do. But, there is still a but, nowadays, the LGBTQ are the ones being discriminated and belittled because of their chosen identity as a person. What hurts is that they're just being happy by being themselves but because of this, a lot of judgments are being thrown at them and what's worse is that they are not receiving the rights they deserve and the opportunities they are aiming for.

We are all aware that we are living in a very modern world. Technology has been the most part but we can never deny that inequality is lingering everywhere. As students, no matter how young, I believe that we have our opinionsand ideas that we need to voice out. We should do our part and report what we see and hear against people who will never deserve such hate. While the authorities shouldn't be so close-minded about the world changing. Us, people should start working hand in hand to give our fellow men what they deserve and that is their equal rights and equal opportunities because in the end, we are all humans whose expected to love and serve one another.

We may not change what people are doing in a blink of an eye. Or we could not change the world in just one sleep. But with unity and the willingness to change for the better then nothing is impossible. So, let's do our part to have and always bear in mind equal rights and equal opportunities.
